| Dear colleagues, After the successful start of the Bulgaria League of Hypertension in 1992, under the residency of prof. Nachev, past years of different activity, under his inspired leadership. Those were unforgettable years for all of us, who were enraptured by his unique personality. Nowadays, I, as a second president of The League - since 2006, am opening the next page. Today, you’re going to enter into the first page of our internet site of the BLH. It will give all of you the opportunity to get better and closer contact with all members and all physicians in our country. Here, you’ll find the actual almanac about all developments of the League, also information for international events. Our team will try to represent you results from the medical studying and scientific research in the clinical practice. You also will find the recent materials for the control of the arterial hypertension. We’ll offer recommendations and programs for how to improve the control of the AH, and the latest news from the hypertensiology. The educational rubric for patients is interested to. We shall have the opportunity to exchange information and experience between the physicians – leading specialists on the score of the control of hypertension. We shall look for a wide range of specialists, like cardiologist, endocrinologists, internists, and GP’s for collaboration in forming the Bulgarian society of hypertension. I have to remind, that the Selection Committee is expecting your proposals for a specialist of clinical hypertension, to represent us in the ESH. I’m convinced that Bulgaria has one of the best schools with traditions in education about the control of the arterial hypertension. As an example have to remind you, that the first Bulgarian guideline for prevention and treatment of the AH is approved of The Ministry of health in 1974, until the First American guideline is since 1977. My heated appeal to all of you is to give the best we could to put under control the pandemic of XXI – the arterial hypertension.
